David Gilmour has told the Rolling Stones to "get a life" and quit their music career. The former Pink Floyd star has urged the aging rock 'n' roll legends to call it a day, as they prepare to unveil their current world tour in Europe.

Gilmour, who himself played a string of live shows at London's Royal Albert Hall this week, said: "I think it's ridiculous, actually. Mick and Keith should get a life. It's like a strange, sexual compulsion.

"How much do they need? I think a lot of it is the applause. It's a powerful drug, 50,000 people appearing to adore you," he told British newspaper The Daily Telegraph.

Meanwhile, Pink Floyd today announced the release of a new concert film, which includes the performance of their landmark LP Dark Side Of The Moon in full. The two-disc DVD, entitled Pulse, will be released on July 10 and was filmed at one of the band's record-breaking 14 nights at Earl's Court in London in 1994.

Amongst the rarities on the release are some of the original Dark Side Of The Moon screen films used during the band's shows in the 1970s, which are previously unreleased.

mah.. a volte proprio non vi capisco..
Il suo suono è inconfondibile, è una marchio di fabbrica. Posso capire che non vi piacciano i Floyd ma quando penso a una mezza sega sinceramente non penso a gilmour.
