sapete se è una promo del nuovo album o altro?

il vecchio dimostra d'avere grande sensibilità (molto più del suo compare ) per le nuove "frontiere" musicali (l'etno, l'alternative in tutte le sue forme etc etc).

m'ha fatto immensamente piacere rivederlo, e vederlo così attento (sarei proprio curioso di sapere per quale musica il suo cuore palpita adesso, quale artista sta seguendo, cosa si sente insomma...)

ha riunito tutta gente del SUD del mondo, se ci fate caso, giovani nella quasi totalità - neri la maggior parte - (c'è pure un italiano di Livorno!!! [ ] ) e li ha fatti suonare!.

che grande uomo che è Keith Richards, mamma mia!

Playing For Change Announces 3rd Album: Songs Around The World



The album Playing For Change 3 “Songs Around The World” will be released June 17th, 2014. The CD/DVD set includes performances from Keith Richards, Sara Bareilles, Andres Calamaro, Toots Hibbert from Toots & The Maytals, Los Lobos, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Keb Mo, and Taj Mahal in addition to a song produced by Jackson Browne. “Playing For Change, That’s the way music was meant to be,” says Keith Richards (Rolling Stones).

Playing For Change was created to inspire, connect and bring peace to the world through music. In 2005, co-founders Mark Johnson and Whitney Kroenke created the concept of the Songs Around The World by uniting together musicians from many different countries and cultures to perform on the same track. Mark and a small crew traveled across 5 continents with a mobile recording studio and cameras with the vision of building a global family through the power of music. The first song released was a version of “Stand By Me”, featuring over 35 musicians from 10 countries who had never met in person. Since then, this international version of “Stand By Me” has been viewed over 100 million times online. The first two volumes of Playing For Change include Songs Around The World and PFC 2: Songs Around The World.

“Traveling with Playing For Change across Cuba was one of the most rewarding and inspiring musical experiences of my life,” says Jackson Browne.

Since the release of the first video, Playing For Change has sold over 550,000 units worldwide, topped the World Music Charts, and has had over 200 million online video views. The video for Maroon 5’s “Daylight” topped the VH1 and MTV top video countdowns, and the Peace Through Music feature film was a runner up for the People’s Choice award at the 2008 Tribeca Film Festival.

In 2012, Playing For Change was awarded the coveted “Tribeca Disruptive Innovation” award, which celebrates those whose ideas have broken the mold to create significant impact. “Playing For Change, man all my life I’ve been putting out love, but not like that,” says Grandpa Elliott.

Vi consiglio anche gli altri video di Playing for Change; sono tutti molto belli e coinvolgenti, Roberto Luti c'è sempre, gran bel tipo, l'ho visto dal vivo un paio di volte.
Sono contento che anche Keith Richards si sia lasciato coinvolgere.

Words of wonder bel pezzo di Keith, questa versione gli rende giustizia

Il video è bello, i musicisti sono molto bravi ed il tutto rende giustizia ad una canzone che a me piace molto.
E' vero anche quello che dice Gianpietro, ovvero: "Il video é bello ma lui non suona, parliamoci chiaro". Aspetto peraltro notato anche da altri utenti su IORR.
E' inutile che mi vengano a dire che la sua voce è migliorata, che è più profonda ecc...quando si parla di Keef Riffhard è la chitarra che conta e la sua, in questo bel rifacimento, è quasi inesistente. La voce andava bene anche quando era meno 'profonda'.

confermo Keith non suona affatto...ma che ci possiamo fare?

Niente, a 70 anni lo prendiamo così com'è!! Ma non mi vengano a dire che ha una voce più 'bella' e 'profonda' (su IORR è un must!!), quasi per giustificare (e nascondere) che strimpella due note in quà e là. Ma da quando in quà c'è tutta questa attenzione e tutto questo trasporto verso la sua voce??!! Io faccio più attenzione alla sua chitarra, ma forse mi sbaglio.

@mark77 posso anche essere d'accordo con te sul fatto che non suona, ma se uno canta anche è normale che si parli anche della sua voce e a me la voce di Keith di oggi piace d'avvero molto su alcuni brani.

secondo me vi sfugge un dettaglio: la sua presenza è, credo anche nelle intenzioni di chi ha partorito il tutto, pensata come più scenica che altro.

insomma, chissenefrega che suoni solo due note...

a maggior ragione che vedo che non si tratta del SUO disco, ma solo di una comparsata...
