Sapete, penso una cosa: Keith che continua a dire "voglio riunire i ragazzi" e Mick che lo scredita. Stanno veramente giocando a rimpiattino o ci prendono per i fondelli o Mick è molto più realista e con i piedi per terra del suo glimmer twin?

keith ha già riunito i ragazzi e li ha portati in studio compreso il signorino Mick in dicembre e in maggio...ed ora si ritrovano a luglio a cosa fare? solo loro lo sanno e tutti e due anno i piedi per terra keith non è ne stupido ne un sprovveduto e tanto meno mick senò non sarebbero arrivati dove sono adesso! poi quando incontrano i giornalisti devono pur dire qualcosa ed ognuno ha il suo metodo keith ha il suo.....

secondo me la cosa piu interessante sul fatto che il tour sia imminente è che Mr. Cohl e Live Nation hanno fatto pace e viaggino ancora d'amore d'accordo

Charlie conferma l'incontro per luglio ( quindi Keith ha più che i piedi per terra in fondo è un leader ) ma come sempre non dice nulla a riguardo a mio parere sanno già benissimo cosa fare per il futuro ma non devono parlarne per il momento tutto quì!!!

ROLLING STONES: Watts the Fascination?

Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts is in New York for five shows with his side project, The ABC&D of Boogie Woogie, and we spoke to him yesterday and asked about the Stones getting together for a meeting next month in London.

He says they'll be figuring out how to celebrate their 50th anniversary, but adds that they "haven't decided on anything really." As for playing together in a New Jersey rehearsal studio this spring, he says, "Well, I think it's about time [we got together]. We're just in the middle of trying to get something together, [even though] I've never understood the fascination in it."

Watts and the Boogie Woogie band released their debut album yesterday Live in Paris, and they'll perform at New York's Lincoln Center on Thursday followed by a four-night stand at the Iridium jazz club, also in New York.

The one thing the Stones have decided on is a 50th anniversary logo, which they've unveiled on their website. It features their famous tongue-and-lips logo surrounded by the words, "The Rolling Stones -- Fifty Years." --Sal Cirrincione

queste dichiarazioni di Charlie su Keith sono state fatte qualche giorno fa...praticamente Keith era li ad assistere il concerto di Charlie e pare che siano volati dei forti abbracci tra i due molto significativi! quello che dice Charlie è molto bello ed è vero che spesso viene dipinto in modo sbagliato Keith! è un vero Signore molto di più di suo compare che forse non avrebbe nemmeno il coraggio di prendersi su un cane randaggio come fa lui!! Keith è così appunto molto eloquente sa stare nei salotti come altrettanto sa stare in qualsiasi postaccio qualunque non si fa problemi e questo gli fa solo che onore!!! Keith Forever!!!

The Stones roll into town for a birthday bash on the 50th anniversary of their first ever gig!



Start me up! The Rolling Stones haven’t been seen together in public for four years, but next Thursday, on the 50th anniversary — to the day — of the group’s first gig, original Stones Mick Jagger and Keith Richards and those ‘new’ lads Charlie Watts (1963) and Ronnie Woods (1975) will meet up in London to kick off their big Five‑O golden jubilee celebrations.


It’s not often they decide to spend the night together. Mick will be there with girlfriend designer L’Wren Scott, Richards with wife Patti Hansen, Charlie with wife Shirley and Ronnie will wander in with whatever girl he’s squeezin’ on the night.


They will pose on a red carpet for photographers, then stride inside to reminisce about their five decades of concerts, recording sessions, girls — and all that nefarious confectionery described in glorious detail in Keith’s sublime memoir Life.
Obstensibly, the group will be attending a gala preview for The Rolling Stones: 50 photographic exhibition at Somerset House, featuring images from the first time the band went on stage — at the Marquee Club on July 12, 1962.


Back then the line-up was Mick, Keith, Brian Jones (billed as Elmo Lewis — Elmo after his hero Elmore James and Lewis being the name


A couple of other old Stones will also be rolling up for the event. Bill Wyman (1962-93) will attend as a guest, as will Mick Taylor, who played with the band for five years until 1974.


‘They’re all flying in to party,’ a source close to the group told me last night. And they’ve certainly earned the right to party for as long as they want.


I remember Keith commenting a few years back that there’s no precedent for how rock and rollers behave as they age, and he’s right.


The Stones were there almost at the birth of the art form, and they’ve made (and broken) the rules for behaviour ever since.


There has been a lot of chatter about the Stones doing a gig sometime this year or next, but this has been strenuously denied by Mick and people in the band’s back office.

@gavinwalden...Perchè poco realistico?!?Non mi sembra che chissà cosa andranno a fare, a me sarebbe sembrato poco realistico che i media avessero annunciato una loro esibizione live per quella data, non un'oretta a gigioneggiare coi giornalisti, le TV e i flash dei paparazzi, con Mick a fare l'ermetico e Keith ad annunciare chissà quali propositi "bellicosi" della serie:"Tanta Gloria con poca fatica"...Era anzi abbastanza prevedibile una cosa del genere ragionando come oramai ragionano loro o almeno i capoccia che gestiscono la loro immagine nello showbiz, niente di meglio che presentarsi in carne ed ossa di tutto punto come a dire:"Sono passati 50 anni e ci siamo ancora, alla faccia dei tirapiedi!"...Cio' che mi aspetto da loro e' altro, e sicuramente non mi/ci daranno soddisfazione nella Conferenza stampa di Giovedì prossimo, non sveleranno alcunchè lasciando aperta la porta per qualsiasi cosa ma al tempo stesso ritraendosi pudici ad ogni domanda diretta su eventuali concerti o dischi futuri...E così il desiderio sale...Come con le belle donne!!
