On the heels of a stunning collaboration at the Chicago Crossroads Guitar Festival in July of 2007 and after much speculation, Steve Winwood and Eric Clapton announced today three eagerly anticipated concerts at New York's Madison Square Garden.
In what will be one of THE must see shows of this decade Winwood and Clapton will perform together February 25th, 26th, 28th, 2008.
Tickets will go on-sale first to American Express cardmembers through a special pre-sale, beginning Monday, November 12th at 9am

Eric Clapton e Steve Winwood ancora insieme

Eric Clapton e Steve Winwood, partner musicali ai tempi dei Blind Faith, supergruppo che –con Ginger Baker- pubblicò un solo album, si apprestano a tornare assieme. Secondo le prime notizie, i due, che nello scorso luglio si sono esibiti sullo stesso palco ad un festival USA, il Crossroads, non vedono l’ora di esibirsi in coppia. Per ora il duo ha in programma soli tre concerti, fissati al Madison Square Garden di New York dal 25 al 27 febbraio 2008.
I Blind Faith si formarono sulle ceneri dei Cream e pubblicarono un omonimo album nell’agosto 1969. Tra tensioni interne e qualche incidente durante gli show, la band rimase in piedi per un solo anno, dalle prove iniziali nella seconda metà del '68 allo scioglimento dell'ottobre '69.

Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood played the first of their three shows to a sold out crowd at New York City's Madison Square Garden on Monday, 25 February. The two hour show, had lots of surprises in store for the audience. In addition to the expected Blind Faith and solo material, songs included "Them Changes", "No face no name" and "Voodoo Child".
