guarda, io, recentemente ho comprato questa edizione dal mercato giapponese.



questa edizione è uscita nel 2013 ed è comunque rimasterizzata.

...Personalmente ti consiglierei la versione remaster della Virgin del '98 e non quella della Universal/Polydor di qualche anno fà, il sound è più dinamico, al contrario dell'edizione UMG che sembra abbia solo "alzato il volume"...Saluti!

Ce l'ho il vinile, faceva parte di un'enciclopedia che comprai molti anni fa !

Oggi ho trovato in un negozio a lecco la versione giapponese rimasterizzata di love you live, questa sera me la ascolto con calma.... credo sia la stessa di cui parlava leeds71.

Si ! Proprio quello...

....è un periodo che mi sono intrippato con questo fantastico album, non saprei dire se questo è il miglior album live della band, in quanto adoro anche Get yer ya ya's out, quindi è una bella lotta, rimane il fatto che questo è un grande live. Persino i brani nuovi (all'epoca) come Hot Stuff suonano alla grande, anzi preferisco la versione live a quella in studio. Fingerprint file è un'altro brano che suona fantastico, HTW credo sia la migliore versione, Happy è grande e tralasciamo la parte blues del Mocambo che è un qualcosa di gustoso. IORR è dannatamente intensa, il suono genuino fa il resto....e poi io da fan di Bill Preston adoro il suo lavoro su questo album.
Crackin’ Up merita di essere citata ... grande versione in omaggio al grande Bo !
E' vero l'album ha avuto un buon lavoro di post-produzione con alcune sovraincisioni ma va ammesso che hanno fatto un grande lavoro.
Quando si ascolta LYL ci si rende conto del perché questa è la più grande rock'n roll band del pianeta !

è il disco, con cui nel 1988 ho scoperto gli Stones!

FIRST TIME ONLINE: Big thanks to doyscoy, who has been sitting on these unreleased mixes for almost 35 years – mixes he personally produced in 1982, directly from 16-track safety masters of the Rolling Stones’ Love You Live concert tapes. Today, he’s sharing them publicly with you for the very first time. Five tracks, including two songs that never appeared on Love You Live in any form, comprise this unheard collection. Those who’ve grown old with Love You Live over the last 40 years might share a similar opinion of The Stones’ 1977 double live album. Except for the excellent El Mocambo Club blues performances on Side 3, Love You Live – primarily recorded in Paris in 1976, with a few US dates from 1975 – is another typically bombastic live Stones release. One that more accurately reflects a stitched-together concert “experience,” more than reproducing the actual musical performances. Which is partly the reason these unreleased remixes even exist. Prior to release, Jagger and Richards took a few reels of the Love You Live performances into Alpha International Recording Studios, in order to punch up the recordings with (primarily vocal) overdubs. A few years later, doyscoy, as a young engineer/producer at AIRS, practiced his craft on the Stones’ 16-track safety masters… just for fun. That’s how you now get to enjoy these unheard remixes – stripped of Love You Live’s obnoxious processing, intrusive audience effects, and Jagger’s new lead vocal overdubs. It’s an opportunity to hear the Stones warts and all, as doyscoy retained the tapes’ original lead vocals, foregoing the multi-layered post-production that would eventually mar much of Love You Live. In short… an arguably better end result, accompanied by doyscoy’s own detailed mixing notes, putting you in the producer’s chair with The World’s Greatest Rock ‘n’ Roll Band. You’ll hear versions of “Angie” and “Hey Negrita,” both left in the can, along with an alternate US performance of “You Gotta Move” and radically unique remixes of “Hot Stuff” and “Star Star” (which you can hear below).
