LONDRA (MF-DJ)--Mick Jagger e i Rolling Stones si preparano a lasciare la Emi, in scia a colleghi come Paul McCartney e i Radiohead. Lo scrive il Times di Londra, secondo cui anche la celebre band degli anni Sessanta si prepara ad abbandonare l''etichetta britannica, da tempo in crisi. Se confermata, la notizia sarebbe un ulteriore colpo alla credibilita'' del nuovo patron della societa'', Guy Hands, che sta tentando di ristrutturarla tagliando i costi ma deve combattere con una vera e propria rivolta delle star della sua squadra. mm (fine) MF-DJ NEWS 1709:30 gen 2008

Rolling Stones sign with Universal

The Rolling Stones have signed a one-album deal with Universal as the clock runs down on their existing agreement with EMI.

The band, who signed in 1991 to Virgin Records prior to the record company being bought out the following year by EMI, will team up with Universal for the accompanying album to a film Oscar-winning director Martin Scorsese has made about the band.

The concert film Shine A Light takes in filming by Scorsese of the band across a two-day period at the Beacon Theater in New York City and will go on a national tour around the UK from this April.

I Rolling Stones sono sul punto di lasciare la casa discografica Emi, sempre piu' nella bufera dopo l'addio di Paul McCartney e Radiohead. L'abbandono degli Stones sarebbe un colpo terribile per il nuovo capo della Emi, che nei giorni scorsi ha annunciato tagli per 2.000 posti di lavoro. Jagger e soci, il cui contratto scade a maggio, hanno intanto firmato per far uscire la colonna sonora del documentario di Martin Scorsese Shine a light con Universal un contratto per il solo cd in questione.

Quindi, come dicevo prima, sarà un album dal vivo (al 99%)?

si a quanto pare esce un disco live a marzo ...in poche parole dovrebbe essere il film in versione audio....vabbè :wink:
